TRACY ELLEN BEARD, THE PERSON

Tracy Ellen Beard is married with two grown children. Her career path includes work as the senior marketing communication coordinator for a computer software company, the development and management of a literacy grant, employment as a marketing communications consultant, and the founder and supervisor of an international children’s nonprofit. These days Tracy thrives as a freelance writer, editor, and photographer.

While supervising the nonprofit, Tracy worked with children in the United States to raise funds for food and education projects aiding children in Honduras, Mexico, Thailand, and Peru. The final project culminated in the supervision, funding, and construction of a school building for 350 children living in the bush in Zambia, Africa.

After completion of the school, the government joined in and provided additional supplies and teachers to improve the school and education of the local children. Other organizations inspired by progress unified their efforts, dug a well, and built and staffed a medical center. Once there was very little for the local people, and now there is an established working village.

Tracy’s passion is travel. She has traveled to Mexico, Canada, Asia, South and Central America, Africa, Europe and all over the United States. Tracy has stories to tell about crazy adventures and interesting people. When she is not writing or traveling she is participating in zany adventures, eating and cooking gourmet food, reading, enjoying all the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer, and enjoying her family and friends. Check out Tracy’s services.
